Every family has a secret. Whispers from my husband’s family were about an Aunt who killed her husband with a baseball bat …. while he was sleeping. She was committed for life to a hospital for the insane. I’ll always wonder what he said to her before he fell asleep.

Francisca Rodela was born, lived, and died in Ysleta, Texas. 1889-1976  I’ve spent a lot of time researching to find the history of her family. Everyone has a story waiting to be told.  

Old newspapers have a wealth of information when researching your families’ history. I have found obituaries, property notices, wedding announcements, and even photographs. The articles often have personal information you won’t find anywhere else. Newspapers.com
